Here’s some of the latest news from our centre…
What a great weekend we had at the 2026 Riding for the Disabled Association National Championships.
All ten of our riders had a brilliant time and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the event. Congratulations all of you - great riding and well deserved results!
Huge thanks got to RDA and all the volunteers who made the event possible, with special thanks to our team of coaches, volunteers & horses from Scropton RDA who all helped make it an event to remember!

A huge thank you to the fantastic team of engineers from Wabtec UK Ltd who rolled up their sleeves and helped us kick-start our spring clean at the centre! 🌷✨
Clearing, cleaning, painting & sprucing up – what a difference they made in just one day. They got through a long list of jobs and still had time to come and meet our ponies at the end of the day!
Many thanks to everyone involved at Wabtec for this invaluable support.

🐴🌟 New Year, new horse!! 🌟🐴
We're delighted to welcome the gorgeous Duke to Scropton Horse Centre. He's a handsome 15.3hh dun and white welsh part bred with the most lovely, willing nature. After only a few weeks he's already settling in to life at Scropton and is proving to be a favourite with everyone who meets him.
We have the generous team at Russell Roof Tiles to thank for Duke's arrival as we were able to buy him with the money they raised for our centre during 2025.
We'd also like to thank Sasha from Exclusivia who did a brilliant job helping us track down such a lovely horse to buy.

Thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund
As we head into 2026 we are hugely grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their generous support for our centre, helping us improve the health and wellbeing of local disabled adults and children.
The funding provided is helping us increase the number of people we can help which wouldn’t be posible without all you brilliant National Lottery players out there!

Bella has proved to be a fantastic addition to our horse team here at Scropton Riding for the Disabled, but its only thanks to the generosity of the team at the Severn Trent Community Fund that she’s here and helping us to transform lives through activities with horses.
Luckily, they understood that things don’t always go to plan, and helped us through the ups and downs of the last year.
